When I received the box of Blueberry Almond bars from FODY, my first reaction was, "why bother, there's not chocolate!" Well, was I wrong! These bars are sweet, chewy, fruity and crunchy and don't need a drop of chocolate to be delicious. I am excited to share these bars with my clients who are following the low-FODMAP diet, but I'm also keeping a bunch for myself!
!!! This bar has SO much going for it! And I am picky when it comes to snack bars. Fody's Blueberry Almond Bar is sweet, but not too sweet, thanks to the rice syrup. It has a great chewy, satisfying texture. The blueberry flavor is very natural and subtle, as is the almond flavor, which I like. The bar is a sweet snack, yet feels healthy, too, and not like a candy bar. The quinoa adds a bit off crunch and protein. I can see carrying one of these with me at all times in my pocketbook, gym bag and the car's glove compartment. AND since it is lab-tested and Certified Low FODMAP by Monash University I know it is truly low FODMAP. I ate my first one yesterday and there has been no digestive upset whatsoever. KUDOS Fody!
