So happy to have found Fody Foods! In this Fodmap diet journey I gathered up things I could have and created a sloppy joe recipe last night that combines several recipes and my person food tastes. My husband loved it and I think it rivals ALL other sloppy joe recipes. I couldn’t have done it without Fody Foods!. I thought I would share the recipe:


1 pound ground beef
1 green bell pepper
2 tablespoons Fody© garlic infused oil
2 tsp fresh chives
2 tsp Fody© taco seasoning
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup Fody© ketchup
2 tablespoons Fody© BBQ sauce
1 can Rotel©
2 slices of pre-cooked bacon crumbled
2 tsp regular yellow mustard
1 tsp brown sugar

Finely chop bell pepper and sauté slowly in the oil for an hour. Watch and add more of the garlic infused oil if necessary to prevent burning the chopped pepper. Drain mixture on a paper towel before adding to beef mixture.

In the meantime brown the ground beef and drain. Add the other ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce and slowly simmer while bell pepper cooks. Add water if necessary as it simmers.

After the hour of simmering the bell pepper add the drained bell pepper to the beef mixture and cook another 10-15 minutes and then to desired consistency.

Serve over gluten free bread or rolls with chips or your desired vegetable.

I have issues with bell peppers so I cooked them separately and thoroughly. If you don’t have issues with them you can probably add them to the beef mixture earlier. I would probably reduce the garlic infused oil you add if you do though.
