Fody's Vegan Bolognese “Hamburger Helper” Copycat Recipe
Enjoy a bit of nostalgic home cooking with this vegetarian or vegan comfort food recipe, an upgraded twist on the classic “Hamburger Helper”. Featuring Fody's Vegan Bolognese sauce, this cheesy pasta dish is a low FODMAP vegetarian recipe that's perfect for an easy weeknight meal you can whip up in a flash!
Fody's Vegan Bolognese “Hamburger Helper” Copycat Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 lb gluten free elbow noodles or shell pasta
- 1 cup Fody's Vegan Bolognese Sauce
- 2 tbsp Fody's Garlic-Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground mustard seed
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup low FODMAP veggie broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or low FODMAP friendly vegan cheddar
- ½ tsp salt
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Directions for Fody's Vegan Bolognese “Hamburger Helper” Copycat Recipe
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add in gluten free pasta and cook according to package instructions.
In a large saucepan over medium low heat, bring Fody Foods Vegan Bolognese sauce, garlic oil, paprika, mustard seed, black pepper, salt, almond milk and broth to a simmer.
When pasta is finished cooking, add to the saucepan with bolognese sauce mixture, being sure to toss in order to evenly coat pasta in the sauce.
Remove from heat, adding shredded cheddar and tossing gently in order to melt the cheese and fully incorporate it into the dish.
Once cheese is fully melted, top with fresh parsley and serve.
